Mary Kay Andrews is among the most prolific authors writing today, and her body of work spans both decades and genres. After publishing ten detective novels in the 1990s under her real name, Kathy Hogan Trocheck, she adopted the now-famous Mary Kay Andrews pen name for Savannah Blues (2002). Southern locales and themes loom large in Savannah Blues and the nearly two dozen books that have followed. Her latest bestseller, The Homewreckers, takes inspiration from Andrews’ personal love for historic home renovation. Georgia house flipper Hattie Kavanaugh lands a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to star in a beach house renovation show. In a twist, this lucky break pairs Hattie with a project that holds the evidence needed to crack a missing persons case. In a rave review, Country Living says: “Mary Kay Andrews is the absolute queen of beach reads. This one combines our love of romance, HGTV shows, and murder mysteries. What more could you want?”
